EZNPC Carrion Golem Necro Why This Lazy PoE Build Just Works

Crush Path of Exile maps with a laid‑back Carrion Golem Necromancer, stacking golems, zombies and spectres so they do the dirty work while you just dodge big hits and watch bosses melt.If you have ever wanted to stroll through maps while your minions erase the screen for you, the Carrion Golem Necromancer is about as close as Path of Exile gets to that fantasy, and if you do not have much time to grind, some players even grab currency or gear from EZNPC to speed things up. You are setting up a slow‑walking commander surrounded by aggressive melee pets that leap, slam, and clear everything before it gets near you. The key interaction is simple but powerful: Carrion Golems gain a big chunk of extra damage for each non‑golem minion nearby, so Zombies and Spectres are not just backup; they are damage multipliers that also punch pretty hard on their own.Starting Out And Early GearAs a league starter this build feels a lot less painful than many summoner setups. You grab a couple of Clayshaper maces as soon as you can; each one gives you an extra golem, which is a silly damage spike for the price. Two of those will carry you through yellow maps without you needing perfect rares everywhere. Later on, the real chase pieces are The Anima Stone and a bunch of Primordial jewels, but you do not need those on day one. On the passive tree you mostly path around the Witch area, picking up minion life and damage clusters like Lord of the Dead, then Golem Commander. You will notice pretty fast that jewel sockets are worth stretching for, because stacking Primordial Harmony turns your golems into slam machines with much lower cooldowns.Main Skill Links And Support MinionsThe build really comes online once your 6‑link chest is sorted. The usual setup is Summon Carrion Golem with Multistrike, Brutality, Melee Physical Damage, Minion Damage, and Impale Support. Impale looks boring on paper but against bosses it is huge, letting your golems stack up hits until the target just falls over. On the side, Raise Spectre gives you utility minions; most people go for Carnage Chieftains from Act 7 so your army gets Frenzy charges and attacks way faster. When you have some currency to spare, an Animate Guardian is worth considering. If you give him a Kingmaker, suddenly all your minions get Fortify and Culling Strike, which feels like a big jump in comfort and consistency.Cyclone Setup And PlaystyleMoment to moment gameplay is very relaxed and kind of hypnotic. A lot of players use Cyclone linked to Cast While Channeling, Desecrate, and Flesh Offering, so you just spin through packs while the setup creates corpses and then consumes them for attack and movement speed buffs. It keeps you moving, which is important, because this build is strong but not immortal. You tap Convocation to yank your golems onto priority targets, watch the health bar disappear, then move on. Most of the time you are just making sure your auras are running, checking that your minions are alive, and dodging the one‑shots PoE likes to throw at you.Scaling Up And Endgame GoalsOnce the basics are in place, the real fun is pushing the damage as far as you feel like your wallet can handle. More golem levels, better Primordial jewel rolls, and tankier gear for yourself all stack up very nicely, and the build can move from comfy mapper to serious boss killer without changing its core identity. Some players prefer to farm everything themselves, while others lean on services like POE 1 boosting when they just want to jump straight into high‑tier content and see how far their Carrion Golems can go.
