Do upgraded windows really improve home security?

When people talk about home security, windows are rarely the first thing mentioned. But can upgrading windows actually make a home safer, or is that overstated?

Re: Do upgraded windows really improve home security?

Modern window systems are designed with security in mind, not just design. Stronger frames, improved locking mechanisms, and reinforced glass all add resistance. When I learned more about how this is approached at WindowTech, it became obvious that new windows can significantly slow down forced entry attempts. Even small delays can be enough to deter intruders, making window upgrades an important part of overall home protection.
