Need help choosing a style for a large scale tattoo

I'm planning on getting a large tattoo, possibly on my entire back or arm. I'm actively researching styles and looking for ideas. What styles would you recommend for a large scale project? Where can I find help in Los Angeles?

I recommend you pay attention to orientalism, biomechanics, realism, engraving, and dark art. They have lots of detail and symbolism. Look for artists who specialize in this type of work; they'll help you choose a style, location, and offer helpful advice.

You might want to consider a classic Japanese design. This tattoo style is rich in detail and strong symbolism. It's worth planning ahead, as a large piece requires multiple sessions with breaks for healing.
