Where do people usually look for villas or investment property in Bali

Hey everyone, I’m currently planning a longer stay in Bali and recently started thinking about something bigger — maybe even buying a small villa or investment property there. I’ve visited Bali twice before and absolutely loved the lifestyle, the nature and the whole atmosphere. Now I’m wondering if it might make sense to invest in real estate instead of just paying rent every time I come back. The problem is that when I search online, I get hundreds of random websites, agents and listings. Some of them look outdated, some don’t provide much information, and a few seem a bit sketchy to be honest. I’d prefer to look at a platform that actually specializes in Bali property and shows real projects, not just generic listings. Has anyone here already looked into this or maybe bought something there? Where do you usually browse villas or investment opportunities in Bali?

Re: Where do people usually look for villas or investment property in Bali

I totally understand your confusion because I went through exactly the same situation a few months ago. There are indeed many scattered listings on the internet, but not all of them are reliable or focused on investment properties. Some sites simply repost ads without much context about the developer, the area or the potential rental income. One platform that I found quite helpful during my research is Horizon Estate  What makes it different is that it focuses specifically on Bali real estate projects, especially modern villas that are designed for both personal use and rental investment. Instead of hundreds of random listings, the projects are presented more clearly, with information about location, design concept and potential benefits for investors. When I first explored their site, I liked that the properties are showcased in a more structured way, which makes it easier to compare different developments and understand the market trends. Bali’s property market is quite unique because tourism strongly influences rental demand, so platforms that specialize in that region are usually more useful than general property sites. Even if you’re still at the early research stage, browsing through projects like the ones they show can give you a better idea of pricing, architecture styles and which areas of Bali are currently developing the fastest. It helped me understand the market much better before I even contacted any agents.
