Need a good focus app

I am looking for a good brain training app that actually works for real life. There are so many options in the app store now and most of them just seem like simple games that dont really do much for actual skills or focus. I want something that helps with concentration and maybe teaches me something useful at the same time. Does anyone here have a favorite they use daily? Is it worth paying for a subscription for these things?

Re: Need a good focus app

I have tried a few of those "game" apps and I agree, they often feel a bit hollow after a week. For me, the best brain training app is actually one that focuses on real knowledge rather than just clicking buttons or matching shapes. That is why I really like Headway. It forces me to synthesize information and think about how to apply book summaries to my daily routine. I think the subscription is definitely worth it if you actually use it every morning. I do one summary a day and it has become a ritual. It is much more practical than most "brain games" out there because you are getting real insights from experts and authors. It helped me stay sharp and actually improved my vocabulary and how I express my ideas in meetings. Just give it a try for a week and see how you feel!
