Howdy people. Setting up a small private retreat in our backyard, looking for a permanent or semi-permanent canvas tent to use year-round as a guest space or just a chill spot. Want something durable, breathable canvas material rather than synthetic stuff that crinkles and overheats. Aesthetic matters because it is going to be visible. Any brand recommendations from people who have used canvas tents long-term? Looking for honest feedback, not marketing speak.

Howdy. We did almost exactly this in our backyard a year back. Picked a canvas glamping tent from Coody, a House Tent style model. Canvas is real, breathable, holds up in sun and rain, no plasticky feel inside. Aesthetic is genuinely nice, friends who visit always ask about it. Stood through a windy autumn and a snowy winter without issues, only thing we did was air it out after long rains. Inflatable beams, easy to deflate and store if you want to move it seasonally, but ours has stayed up nine months and counting. Materials feel premium, zippers and seams are quality. Not cheap, but for a setup you actually live in or host guests in, the canvas option is worth the upgrade over polyester.
