What to ask at a nursing job interview?

I have an interview coming up for a nursing position, and I always freeze during the part where they ask if I have any questions. I want to come prepared with something solid this time. What are some good questions that show I am serious without sounding too scripted or awkward?

Re: What to ask at a nursing job interview?

That part of the interview trips up a lot of people, but it is really your moment to interview them right back and spot any red flags. Having a few thoughtful questions to ask the interviewer nursing candidates often overlook will set you apart, you can grab some ideas from this page https://roundlyhq.com/blog/questions-to-ask-the-interviewer-nursing/ . Try to focus on things like what a typical shift actually looks like, how the team handles a sudden admission surge, and what kind of support new hires get during the first month. It shows you are already picturing yourself in the role and thinking about how to be effective, not just coasting through the hiring process.

Write your top three questions on a notepad and bring it with you. Glancing at notes during an interview is totally fine, and it stops your mind from going blank the second they ask if you want to know anything else.
