I recently went through the whole process around Epic Systems Certifications and finally got through my track, so I figured I’d share how it actually works from my experience.The biggest thing I didn’t fully understand at the start is that you can’t just register for these exams on your own. In my case, I had to first land a role with an organization that uses Epic. They sponsored me, and then I was sent for their official training before even attempting the certification. The training itself was pretty structured, and after that, there were exams plus hands-on project work tied to real scenarios.Honestly, the exams weren’t impossible, but they weren’t something you could pass without really understanding the workflows. A lot of it is application based rather than just memorizing answers.While I was preparing, I tried to get familiar with the format and types of questions beforehand. I ended up using some material from CertBoosters just to get extra practice alongside the official training, which helped me feel more comfortable going into the exams.If anyone here is trying to get into Epic, my advice would be to focus on getting into a hospital or consulting role first. That’s really the entry point. Once you’re in, the certification path makes a lot more sense.Curious if others had a similar experience or if your training path was different?
