What do you use instead of Google Analytics to avoid cookie banners?
I run a few small websites and Google Analytics has become more trouble than it is worth for me. The reports take ages to load, half of the data is sampled, and on top of that I had to put a cookie banner on every project because of GDPR. I'd like to know what you use instead. I'm particularly interested in analytics that works without cookies, does not need a consent banner, shows real-time visitors, and can still do goals, funnels and custom events, ideally with unlimited sites on one account. How to track website traffic without cookie banners and without slowing the pages down?

For this, cookie-free analytics platforms work much better than the classic ones. For example, among the privacy-first tools that still give you funnels, goal tracking and a real-time dashboard, I would highlight Flowsery. The tracking script is under 10 KB, so it does not hurt page speed, it collects no personal data, and it is GDPR, CCPA and PECR compliant out of the box, which means no consent banner at all.
