Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Ugh Taylor putting down network TV annoys me. I guess I'm so "basic", because I do enjoy network tv shows!

Especially when she readily admits she's never watched most of the shows she is shitting on... also I feel like using the word "basic" IS basic, I mean she's pretty late on that lol

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Yep! Love me some Big Bang Theory! And she shits on that every chance she gets!

What if I called in and told her my husband's a cop and there's always more to the law enforcement side of the story on 'Making of a Murderer' (or whatever the heck that is she keeps harping on)?? She'd crap on me as soon as I hung up the phone...live on Sirius XM! (I've heard her do it to too many callers....)  LOL...

I've actually enjoyed the show more in 2016 than 2015....I'm trying to keep an open mind. But I had to comment on the comments above!!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Did anyone catch Taylor's comments about Jenna Dewan Tatum?  I'll have to go back and listen but it sounded so snarky and mean-spirited.  Something about how Jenna really got "lucky" with Channing Tatum, basically saying how she married up even though her career didn't take off and now she gets to ride on his coattails.  Boy, that was very telling!  News alert:  Some couples actually love each other, regardless of "status".  *SIGH*  Stephanie tried to call her on it but the subject got changed pretty quickly.

I hate how she shits on the Big Bang Theory if I wasn't listening on demand I would have called in and told her that the BBT cast is making over a million an episode which she said "Friends money hasn't happened since Friends has been on the air."

Thanks to your husband for risking his life every day to protect others. My dad's a retired police officer and I have three cousins who are police officers now. I HATE all the police bashing going on (not on WU, but everywhere). Yes there were some bad incidents, but there are a few bad seeds just like with any profession (ahem, dr....)

I noticed the Jenna Dewan hate too. I don't get it. I hate to sound like Bonnie, but maybe she's just jealous.

That was THE WORST.  She said Jenna lucked out when she married Channing Tatum, because she gets to ride the coattail of his fame.    What the hell.

LOVE Joey Skladany!!! I wish they would do a regular segment with him instead of Bonnie.

That would make for a Happy New Year - a new Tuesday gossip hound.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

To me it certainly seemed like Taylor was hinting at Joey being the new regular for scoop/scandy/gossip segment and Bonnie being buh-bye. Did anybody else get that vibe? She kept saying how he was "SO REFRESHING"

Supposedly he's going to do every other Tuesday!! Such a nice break from Bonnie, Justin & the Kardashians.

Thank god! It's so obvious Bonnie Fuller is getting paid to talk nice/pump up the Kardashians & a few other celebs. And it is getting awkward how Taylor & Kenny clearly have a negative feeling towards her and bash her as soon as her segment is over! Glad to have someone on who will just give us some fun, nonbiased scandy!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I don't think Kenny realizes what a good father he is to little Duke.  huge investments in him now; bigger returns on that investment later. but he admits feeling overwhelmed.  kudos to Katie for acknowledging that once becoming a parent, that becomes the #1 identifier at least during the first five years I'd say. this is a concept I think Kenny has been reticent to even approach because he knows this is such a sticking point for Taylor. so keeping it all in (not that he'd overwhelm us with Duke) becomes yet another source of pressure. sure would be good if there could be some change in the family routine and the addition of a part-time/as-needed nanny/babysitter so Kenny could be freed up a little.  I think it all comes a little easier to Chels as women tend to be more natural nurturers.  but he loves his boy, he and chels both do.  comments?

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I think Kenny should have a new parent segment. The way Taylor discussed her wedding, he should discuss stuff. I think he's such a great story teller, I would love to hear more from him.

awesome idea.  I would like to hear a segment. it is so refreshing to hear about what's going on with Kenny.  and as pio states, he's an awesome story teller.  something going on in his life in real time where he doesn't get cut off or have the story changed on him.  Katie was great in normalizing his frustrations and embracing his realities.  Taylor could do the same and I think she did do a little of it a week or two ago.  to be fair tho, tay probably hears more than we know off air.  anyway I'm rambling now.  time to go home and get the fire started

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I locked in the segment on my X M receiver.  within first 1.5 hours but I don't think at the beginning??  can someone confirm.  not sure.  some woman during last hour I couldn't get into probably because I hadn't had my coffee so I turned to morning mashup

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I wonder how different the segment with Tiffany Dufu (which I thought was AMAZING) would have been had Taylor been there to interrupt and redirect everything to herself and her stories. Kenny is an incredible interviewer. I love crazy Robert Verdi, but I also really enjoyed mellow Robert Verdi with Kenny today too. ...It's kinda refreshing to have a day without the little cup of espresso...

I noticed that too.  I really enjoyed Kenny and Robert having conversations like normal people - not some off the rails shout fest.

OMG catching up on Wed...listening to this bitch shit all over community college and the people who attend them, makes me want to fly to NYC literally to punch her in the face and fly back home. Taylor, not everyone has everything handed to them, including what you deem a real college education. You actually disgust me as a human.

More people should do 2 years CC then transfer to 4-year colleges, save on money and depending on the high school they came from it can help them transition.

Most people with massive student debt I have little sympathy. Don't take out $200K in loans for a fine arts degree. That is not a smart decision, even 17-year old me would off known that.  I have a cousin who lives in the mid-west, in a city where they do not shoot movies, who went to a massive college for movie set sound or logistics, whatever. Then moved back to her home town with a bunch of student debt and bitches about it all the time. Sorry, i don't feel bad for you. You got a degree you could never use. And now she's a bit older, and works at a dead-end job making just above minimum wage, and she's stopped even trying to pursue a better job.  it's frustrating.

I will say I was fortunate enough to go to good school and exit with zero student loans. I know i'm not normal in that case and I caught a bunch of other lucky breaks financially that helped me out significantly, but come on some of the stories i've heard are just silly.

OMG!!!! She was giving all these opinions this morning on the State of the Union and Kenny says "Maybe if you had watched, your questions would be answered!" lol

Why does she bother? I can't imagine discussing things that I have never looked into. I've never seen a Housewife show, I'm not about to give my opinions on them.

Also, Taylor never gave a shit about student debt until recently (as in the past year or so), only because one of her friends has student debt.

The problem is it shouldn't cost $200k for a degree. Did your 17 yr old self think of that?

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Umm it's great her dad went to Harvard and all but most people don't care where their doctors went to undergrad. Actually most people don't care about medical school either. Most go by if they accept insurance and location. If it's something serious then people go by reputation. She needs to get off the education high horse. Many people poo poo where she went to school...
