I just caught last Monday’s show, as well as the interview with Gillian Jacobs. I normally don’t mind Taylor’s interviews, other than her constant “uh huh, uh huh, uh huh”. But for some reason, this interview got on my nerves. I feel like she talked about herself too much. Aren’t these interviews to expose the celebrity's most current work to the listeners? If so, then I’d say this interview was a fail. I’m still unsure as to what her new show is about, other than the characters meet at the end of the first episode. I had to IMDB it to even find out what it was called. And who are her costarrs?
I do know, however, that Taylor is newly divorced, got followed on the subway, and doesn’t know what GIFs are. I get that sometimes things get brought up in hopes of furthering the interview if it gets stale, but if she did her research there are so many other things she could bring up regarding Gillian’s body of work, rather than Taylor’s life.
And why did Taylor bring up her wanting Stupid Olympics to go viral? So that maybe Gillian would inquire and she could name drop Stassi being on it?
I don’t know why this interview bothered me so much… case of the Mondays, perhaps?

I thought a lot of the same things Bathies. I think Taylor was having a serious case of 'I wanna be you' or 'it's easy for you, why isn't it for me?' (when in reality it's not easy at all). Sometimes an interviewer will do it to put guests at ease (share a few things), but as Taylor readily admits, she's an over-sharer and really doesn't know when to stop. It can come off as desperate at times...not saying now, but it can!!!

I find that sometimes her over sharing really makes the interview crappy. Most of the time she'll mention a fact or 2 about her life, that's great. I do think that sharing to make them comfortable is great, but in some interviews she takes over the entire thing talking about herself. I listened to the Gillian interview but I don't remember much of it, wasn't my fav. I think saying she knew someone who pronounce their name the same was enough about her to make Gillian comfortable. And I couldn't remember her show or anything after either because they barely got to it.
