TD tagged a couple of pics. I don't know if that camera angle one is Taylor though?

I wonder if this is a go again. I heard Taylor talking today about "being interviewed for something" and she was talking about how the divorce wasn't hard on her because she already mourned it while still married
But then a friend of hers was also being interviewed and she was talking about how she was mourning Taylor's divorce. I think this was all during the jacklyn Novak segment.
I'm listening to the show now and just heard the Jacklyn interview. I just heard that part about her friend mourning her divorce-she was definitely talking about Nicole. I'm guessing she is referring to Sam's show and Nicole being asked about Tay's divorce. Tay said "your mourning my divorce?! You didn't even fucking like my ex husband. Your husband just used him for golf!" (Not word for word but pretty close). By the tone she said it id say things between her and Nicole are still a little iffy.

She sounded choked up there 😢

Off topic but not...re: Jacklyn Novack interview. If I took a shot every time she said 'like' in that discussion, I would have been drunk in the first 3 sentences! Please tell me she isn't like that at her comedy shows??? Aye yay yay! (how do you spell that anyway? lol)

Yes! She was extremely inarticulate, and I had to wonder how she wrote a book. She must just have better writing skills than verbal skills.

FKCSTMom, I was literally about to write the exact same thing. I legit had to stop listening because of the "likes", it was THAT bad ![]()

That interview was so boring to me. I didn't listen to the whole thing. I was surprised because they really talked up how funny she is.
Offline
She co-hosted with Kenny last Fall/Winter and her "Oh My God"s drove me crazy.

It was not a good interview, it's too bad because it could have been a very interesting subject to discuss along with humor but it just didn't off that way.

Well, the production website has literally has this status for over a year so who knows:

I agree. I didn't really "get" her at Kenny's NYC comedy show. The only thing that really me laugh was a joke about there never being enough pizza and how stressed she gets about there not being at least 3 slices for her (I'm totally that girl). Overall I found myself fidgeting a lot during her set and wishing she'd hurry up.

My husband was at th NYC show with me and at her segment he just stopped laughing and turned to me like WTF is going on. Meanwhile my close girlfriend there was dying of laughter. I think she's a particular type of humor and that may appeal to the minority not the masses.

Not sure if this would be the best place to start this but here is my conspiracy theory. After Taylor mentioned Kristin Cavallari, I started to think back to The Hills and Laguna Beach...
The apartment - paid for with a signing bonus from Radio in the City
DIU - started with a signing bonus from Radio in the City
Resentment for Wedding/Bachelorette/Birthday parties and gifts - running out of money paid for with a signing bonus or progress payments from Radio in the City
Taylors Closet - out of money and raising money
Unknown Drama with Nicole - fall out from Radio in the City segments. Taylor has no filter (I am guilty of that as well at times so not judging). If she said something on video, you cant take that back.
Maybe?

Maybe because Taylor spent a good portion of it trying to figure out if she has depression because of the fact that she hasn't used the squash court or sauna in her apartment building. I really am trying to be positive when I post, but that annoyed the hell out of me.
Depression is real, and Jacqueline's book sounds awesome as a way to look at it with humor, but the interview would have been much more effective if they focused on that rather than trying to differentiate if Taylor is depressed.

Remember when Tay said that she and a friend were interviewed for something, and Tay said that she was pissed at her friend because she said that she was still mourning Tay's divorce. I wonder if that could have been a testimonial on Radio In The City??

Yes to all of this. It was so annoying. She was trying to relate to Jacqueline by comparing their depressive states. It was offensive because Taylor is CLEARLY not depressed. It was weird and I think Jacqueline was turned off by the fact that Taylor seemed to be minimizing depression.

It's hard to say if someone is or isn't clearly depressed. I've been on medication for the past 6 months, and I'd guess none of my coworkers or peers would guess it. Smile always pasted on my face.
I would agree that she shouldn't trivialize depression, but never leaving your apartment could be a sign. The idea that it is tough to get out of bed or be social when it isn't an obligation. We can't really say one way or the other.
Offline
Yeah- that was brutal with Jacqueline. I was cringing. When Taylor said "I slept under my bed for a week, is that depression?" Jacqueline said "Yeah, I'd say it is." And then Taylor added that she did it so her parents would think she ran away because they made her break up with her boyfriend when she was 17. Jacqueline was like "I assumed you were talking about something you did as an adult." Taylor's story didn't even make sense and minimized true depression. Pretty sure she slept under her bed one time. Why couldn't she just talk about the book and Jacqueline's experience and not make it all about her? So exhausting. If she's talking to a guest and she has a relevant story, then by all means she should interject. But stop trying to crowbar in your irrelevant stories to try to fit in with "the cool comedy kids".
Offline
I absolutely agree and didn't mean to offend. But I'm pretty sure Taylor is exaggerating about never leaving her apartment. And even if she does stay there a lot, she is always having friends over. It seems to me that she is rarely alone and just doesn't like the "going out" scene anymore. Her example around why she was depressed was that she doesn't use her building amenities like a swimming pool, movie theater, or squash court. She's also mentioned numerous times that she handled the divorce just fine. She seems more torn up about having to break up with her high school boyfriend because she uses that as an example of being sad way more than her divorce. That could all be a lie, but I really don't get the feeling that she is lingering on the divorce. Anyway, just my opinion! She may be depressed and hiding it very well. Who knows.

I think the issue really was with the delivery of it. To me, it wasn't relevant; it felt more like Taylor unable to keep the conversation away from herself for 5 seconds more than being genuinely concerned that she has depression, and that kind of trivialized the topic and took it away from Jacqueline.

Could this have been an interview on Sam Robert's show? I know they have both gone on a few times. I always mean to, but I don't listen when they're on. Does anyone know if that was any part of the convo with Nicole on that show? If not I agree with some people that think it may be radio in the city.

To build on this she also said she can't name brands/corporations anymore...she said she was advised to stop by someone when she was telling her airline drama story.

I wonder if this is for her own brand/image? Opie was talking about a sandwich place last week and said how nice it was to be able to give plugs to places you actually used as opposed to what the station how told you. He said on regular radio he had gotten in trouble for mentioning a non sponsored place, but didn't have that issue on Sirius.

She said she wasn't allowed to name brands she was bashing. She can still name brands she is positive about. I'm guessing more of a lawsuit issue.
So based on today's show 3/17, are Nicole and Taylor no longer friends?
She started off not saying her friends name who she hates now but she does say Nicole's name a few minutes in, saying if she never met her she would never have had this job....
Anyone?
