Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

thanks wintercici.  thinking back, I hadn't realized how "one-way"  our 20-year old friendship was with me on the giving end. now the best friendships I have hover somewhere around 50-50 or 40-60. perhaps a lot of tay's connections have been more one-way-ish.  tay actually reminds me of a friend of mine.  she's sweet, I love her like a sister but she ain't the kind of person to go out of her way for people. I'm not going to moan and b***c about her and still call her a "friend."  that's just her.  I just set limits, hold back more, and accept and love folks beyond their flaws and appreciate when they accept and love me beyond mine. and we's get along just fine.  everyone have a super weekend!!!

I'm a south catholic where NFP is a very common thing (if i remember correctly during pre-marriage counseling retreat the church put on we briefly learned about it), i have friends and family that do it, and they swear by it, but most have at least one oppsie babies. So i have a hard time believing that NFP worked, since she has 6 children.  IMO the pull-out method would be more reliable, maybe NFP and pull-out combined?

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Not something I would trust for myself, but I have two friends who use it. One has three kids all spaced 3 years apart, and another has 4, 2 years between each.

I chart, but not sure I could be that diligent lol

I have to disagree - you can still do NFP and have 6 kids...yes, she had 6 in 8 years, but that certainly could've been by choice.

Yeah I'm going to have to disagree with you. I'm Catholic, teach at a catholic school- most everyone I know (myself not included) use NFP. I know about 4 different families that have 5-7 kids all spaced perfectly 2 years apart. It's not that it doesn't work, it's surprisingly very effective- a lot of work, but lots of Catholics believe in having lots of kiddos!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

It more so blows my mind that if she got pregnant again she would probably die, and would rather honor her religious beliefs to not take medical preventative measures to make sure that doesn't happen.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I recently tried NFP because I wanted to get off the pill but wasn't quite ready to start a family. It was a big fat fail from the start as I'm now 8 months pregnant. LOL. I'm sure I just wasn't experienced enough at it to know exactly when I ovulated.

From what my friends that use NFP say its a lot of time and work that goes into it. Not to get graphic but I don't have time to take my temperature or check my vaginal mucus. Blaaaaaaah

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I liked the Jen from the Catholic channel, but I disagreed with what she said about some stuff. I don't agree with the church's view on everything tho so I wasn't surprised.

Something that really bugged me about today's show was the Kardashian talk. She hates/doesn't understand Kylie's popularity so all of a sudden Kim is better? She said at least Kim works...my jaw dropped. All the shit she spoke about Kim ugh so flip flop-y. I'm also mystified by their popularity, but it is what it is lol I'm 26 and not a huge fan of Kylie or Kim.

Side note: I purchased Kylie's lip kit (I surprised myself lol) and I really love it. It was a splurge for me because I buy 90% drugstore. Anyway my point is I like her more because the quality of her product is great (though I will say idk how much she's actually involved)

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Taylor def reads this board. Talked about her friends mom dying and her not taking 3 months to call her.
Said that wasn't the case.

Oh and btw, we know the mother in law bike story already. Stop recycling old stories and trying to make them new. We've already heard and we already know your mil was a heinous bitch. We aren't stupid. We listen to the show.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I could swear when she told the MIL story the last time it was Taylor who the MIL called to ask her to pick up and it was Taykor who was at lunch and said she could be there after. Now she is telling a different story. Can anyone confirm this?

I thought i remember it being a friends MIL. But i think i've heard it both ways. Maybe it was a friend MIL when she was married and switched to hers post D? IDK?

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I've heard it a few times, and I always remember it being a friend of the woman. Tbh, I didn't know that it was her ex MIL. I always thought she felt more pity for her, and that it was the FIL that she despised.

Yes yes yes! I remember that version of the story when Taylor had to go and get her. Please, like she'd ever go and pick someone up off the side of the road. It was this past summer when she told that version of the story where she went and got her.

How could y'all hear the story this time around between all of the lip smacking. I had to turn it off I was so irritated and didn't hear the end. Also, who do you think this "soup friend" is?  there is so much anger behind it, could it me something that happened years ago between her and a SIL? The anger was crazy, it couldn't have been a friend that she JUST decided to cut out. Also, who the heck wouldn't help a friend find their earring at the gym? If I saw a STRANGER struggling and panicking to find something they lost I would help them! People are so selfish!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Did she have a car when she was with Brett though? She seems like an odd person to call to be picked up. Even if she had a car, I don't see her as someone that really helps people out.

I think he just had the car. I'm sure that version was a lie because who would rely on her for anything?

It's sad, but I see her as the type that unless it benefits her somehow, she's not going out of he way at all.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Ok I thought the story was the MIL called a friend of hers to pick her up but the friend was at lunch and told her she couldn't, Didn't the MIL tell T she wasn't going to be friends with the woman anymore? Who knows, she's told the story so many times it probably  changes every time.  I agree with Chanel, who in their right mind would call Taylor if you were stranded on a side of a road.
