Agree. I've done both and working is way easier than having two kids to take care of 24/7. It was so hard to go back after taking a year off after having my second but some days, going to the office feels like a vacation.

She's mentioned that quite a few times over the years. I think she even said it when they were still married. Don't know why she wouldn't just take birth control...

I had two kids well before most of my friends had one. I never tried to one up them but would do a secret eye roll when friends without kids would say they needed a vacation or were so tired when I was literally waking up 3-7 times a night (for 10 months...then I let that kid cry it out. At almost two, he's the best sleeper in our house now!)with a colicky infant or a three year old. You don't know unless you know was always my thought. I didn't sleep more than a couple hours at a time for a total of five hours a night if I was lucky for a year. But, you don't know what that feels like unless you've done it and you shouldn't be shamed for that.

As for the love thing, it is true but nothing will frustrate and annoy and anger you more than your own kids too. It's a trade off. I will say, I'm jealous of my friends with no children or even just one child at times. I work my ass off then come home and switch hats to mommy until I can put the rascals to bed and have some wine. I often wake up at 4:45 to hit the gym before work so my days are long and work is sometimes a reprieve. But you do what works. Kids, no kids, whatever. If we could just stop putting ourselves in these categories and just see one another as people, that would make life so much easier.

And both mine were "surprises". We were actively trying to not have kids with both. I wouldn't change it for anything now but husband def got the snip after #2.

I have a 5 and 2 year old. I only have a couple of friends without kids and I honestly just don't see them often. If we do a dinner or activity with our group of friends, I'll catch up then but I don't even talk to them on the phone (not a phone call girl but text often). I don't expect them to come to me either.

We are just at vastly different times in our lives. I have trouble relating to them and vice versa. I just gravitate to my friends with kids because we relate better right now.

Do you really think she "spent wildly" knowing the business was in jeopardy? Brett was a stickler about money and it does not seem like she got a whole lot in the divorce especially if they were fighting over poofs and tv's. She may have known but I doubt she understood. And we don't know how/if she was told. Or how she found out about it. I was engaged to a guy whose father was super shady. He wasn't a part of it. In fact, he was a really great guy. I couldn't hold his dads dealings against him.

Would anyone divorce their husband over a crime their dad commits? Or the company your partner works for? If this was going on while they were married (which, who knows...) what exactly was she supposed to do?

Even if she knew, what could she do? And what could brett really do if this was a decision his dad or whoever made? I guess he could quit but that would be his decision, not hers.

So I guess Radio in the City is a real thing since she's in radio too. I wonder how many people this is going to follow. We know of three for sure (Tay, Nicole, Carolina). Any speculation of other cast members?

TD, I know you hate these forums. But I love you and Tay. Just watched your insta story with your dad and while my heart breaks for you and your family, you guys are awesome. Love is love is love...friends, family, weird listeners, whatever. Know we are loving you all and praying for your dads recovery.

And I don't know (maybe y'all do) what side of the business brett is involved with. From the stories, sounds like more of a marketing/sales role. He may not have even known until it was an issue. And that may have been post divorce. No matter how bad Mark E is, I can't imagine you'd want your children involved in your shady shit.

I'm sure she had no idea. I'm positive brett would not have told her and she wouldn't understand it was illegal even if he did. I know I wouldn't really understand if it was told to me under the guise of using a new vendor or whatever. I guess Mr. E is as shady as she says he is....

I just really don't get why you would listen to a show or visit a forum for said show that you absolutely hate. I've found some really great podcasts and am obsessed with the news so I listen less than I used to but I still enjoy it. If I was done, I would move on. And half the people that hate the show don't even listen so why bother commenting? You have no idea what's actually happening.

I came to the conclusion that this forum is more for Taylor hate than love. I visit periodically but if you like Tay and say so, you'll get some criticism and someone telling you they've listened longer than you and blah, blah, blah. If you like the show and like Taylor and appreciate her, this probably isn't the place for you.

question from the uninformed, countries with really good maternity leave, do employers pay your salary or is it kind of like unemployment? also, what if the person who is replacing you for your year of leave in better? can they let you go?

You get disability most of the time, if your company is large enough and you've been with them long enough. (You usually have to be with a company 6-12 months to qualify) Depending on your tenure with the company also determines your disability pay. When I had my first, I got four weeks full pay and two weeks at 60%. With my second I got six weeks at full pay. There is no such thing as parental leave as a national standard. Some companies offer more time but it's not standard or prevalent. Most women get paid because they are literally disabled because they gave birth, not because they are adjusting to life with a new baby. I had a difficult birth with my second. I literally could not walk for weeks. That wasn't time I was "adjusting". Maternity leave and parental leave is truly tragic in this country.

My company offers new parents to take a year off unpaid which I did with both of my children. You are guaranteed your job back. In most places, you are offered 3-4 months of FMLA which is also unpaid.

If you guys watch people's couch or the VPR after show (when it was on), Brandy and ***** have a political podcast called dumb, gay politics. It's funny AF but probably for a moderate-liberal listener.

I think I'm done with this forum. Way too much negativity for a "fan" page. My last straw is the negative things said on the stassi thread. If you actually listen to it, that wasn't the case at all. I love Tay. Love the show. But I'm done with that hating. Maybe those of us who actually like it will find some other outlet to share on.

Furthermore, I don't know why those who don't listen would care to contribute. Perhaps you loved it at one time and now you don't. Fine. Stop listening . Stop caring. Don't be mean. I don't have a dog in this fight other than being a long time listener. I miss Kenny so much but things change, people move on and shows evolve. They're in the middle of that evolution so if you don't like it, tune to a different channel.

While I usually cringe when Tay sides with the man (i.e. Johnny Depp) I tend to agree with her on this one. I think B would love to have Jason out of her life (and her daughters) at any cost and I wouldn't put anything past her, manipulating voicemails and flat out lying. I used to love bethenny but, at least from what she puts out there, she has turned into a vengeful, egotistical, narcissistic monster in the past few years.

I still enjoy the show and listen every day while I work on demand. I do miss the days of Kenny and their dynamic and there have definitely been some co-hosts who were terrible since he left but it seems like they are FINALLY finding a groove with the regulars. Sounds like Carly, Lori and Rob have secured their permanent spot. I hope Mike Cannon becomes more of a regular too. I like Clay Aiken. And I'd like more Robert Verdi! I feel like his segments are so short. And more Wider too.

The repeat stories don't really bother me when they're in the right context and I think they will die down a bit now that she has more of a rapport with her cohosts. I think the constant revolving door was really hard on Taylor when you have people like Michelle from last week on.

I will say, I am OVER the evil sister in law stuff. I really don't want to hear about it ever again unless she has something new to say.

I am a Taylor fan and I've been listening for six or so years so I know what the show once was. I still enjoy her and listening but it really drove me crazy she didn't go to the NYC march. She had friends there and could have gone with someone. T2 was in DC. She's part of the LGBT community. Come on girl! What else were you doing? I'm starting to wonder if she has social anxiety or just anxiety in general which is why she's such a hermit. Maybe the mic is a mask?

Jenna would have been good I think. She's a married lesbian who has carried two of their children (maybe three now?). I think she could have given tay some interesting perspective. And I'm sure the today show connection is because they have a Sirius station now.
