Carole was a reporter. I'm sure it's her nature to research and be informed.
Just catching up on yesterday's show. I love how Taylor snuck in her chance (during NY trivia) to get Carole to say her own last name. It was only after that did Tay say (quickly and awkwardly) Carole's last name. And it was toward end of second hour. The first half of the show I was like why is she just calling her Carole?! Carole from Housewive?!?! What?!!?! It was obvious to me she was avoiding saying her full name because she didn't know how to say it.
Tay, do some research on your guests. And learn and/or ask how to pronounce names before you have them on as a guest. Isn't that Hosting101?
I wondered if Tay ever said Carole's name! She's said it wrong so many times before I couldn't imagine how she would pronounce it right in front of her. How freaking hard can it be to find out what someone's name is???

Wow - I can't believe it's actually true. Even thought it was kind of obvious, it's a little hard to believe for some reason.

OMG - what would they possibly talk about???? He'd have more in common with the lemurs.

Yes, I agree - that's the best show for sure. I wish it was on during my drive time.

Something is wrong if you are having that many issues.
I've never in my life seen anyone run the water on in a public restroom while they go. I can't believe she actually does that.

I'll definitely give her a try. So far, I've been a little disappointed in Radio Andy. I was hoping it would become my go-to station, but I really don't like many of the shows.

Does anyone feel like it's a little bit much that she has a "team"? Does that blog really warrant a team AND separate work space? It's like she has no confidence in her own brand/etc so she says it's her team that is behind everything. I also get douche chills when she refers to "my Matthew" and "my Taylor" or "2.0". That shared work space is just going to mean that she is going to try making friends with everyone there by telling them they can come into her Sirius radio show and push their products on her audience.
Absolutely - it would be different if the blog were even good. So many people are doing it really well by themselves, because they have a true desire to express something. There's no real passion behind hers.

Taylor insisting every time she gets a stomach "bug" it's because she didn't get her flu shot. Drives me crazy! It has been explained to her so many times that one has nothing to do with the other but she does not get it. A caller explained it to her Wednesday very well she seemed blown away.
And her dad is a doctor... You'd think she'd understand the difference.

Jenny is infuriating to listen to. What was the fight with her and Kenny? If I remember she and Tay just ran into each other at Soho house Miami...which is interesting bc I stopped on Jenny's show briefly the other day and she was complaining about going to a social club in the city for a dead gentleman's memorial and she wasn't allowed in because she had jeans on. She spoke about how she would never be a member of a social club and how pathetic it was.
Who wears jeans to a memorial let alone a memorial in NYC?
I couldn't believe she was going to do that. I know her intentions were good, but it just wasn't appropriate.

I think the reason friendships have been so hard on Tay lately is because she has said it herself, she burns bridges easily. So maybe in the past, when things have gotten hard, she just stopped talking to the friend. But now, she doesn't want to drop friends as easily, so she has to have those tough conversations that might not have been so tough if she would have confronted her feelings earlier.
I'll admit, I've had long lasting friendships. but I have had those frienemies also. I think you just have to decide if a friendship is worth it. If it is, then you put up with the crap. There are a lot of personalities out there.
I hope she doesn't do anything to hurt Taylor D. It seems like she latches onto people so quickly and intensely and eventually moves from group to group. I'm kind of waiting for the ball to drop.

I also wonder about people that were so bullied they changed schools. Like that is actually a thing? On DWTS they have this super pretty girl that says she was bullied in HS and had no friends? Then on Stassi's podcast Scheana said she had death threats in middle school because she was pretty? By no means was my HS rainbows and unicorns, but i'm pretty sure girls weren't that mean to each other?
It wasn't like that at my school either. As unsophisticated Tay thinks the world outside of NY is, we're actually able to get along with each other.

No, I've never had drama with friends. We've grown apart, moved away, etc. but never fights. Even in high school all my friends were really nice and got along with each other.

Just a suggestion - Since the MTV Movie Awards were Saturday, post everything to the blog ASAP (eg. Sunday). If she's really going to post this week and next week, it's too late. The show isn't relevant anymore.
Bloggers who want to be successful post almost EVERY DAY. Social media and the web move fast. You can't post old news...

Plus she never lets anyone talk. Geesus. Shut up and listen once in a while. I am dealing with my own friendship problems but I see a therapist because I know it's about ME. It's my problem not everyone else's. I'm the common denominator no? With Taylor she doesn't think this for a second. It's always someone else's fault.i can't listen to her anymore.
She even said she knows she flakes on people all the time, but why would anyone call her a bad friend? Like the 2 aren't in the least bit related.

Taylor's interview questions are SO fucking stupid!! She asked Lauren Conrad how important was it to get along with people in the business world. WTF?? She asked Melissa Joan Hart some stupid question like "How much do you love your job?" I can't believe her bosses don't force her to be prepared for celeb interviews. She said once her bosses wanted her to go an interviewing class and Kenny talked her out of it. Big mistake! HUGE! I can't believe how lazy she is. and how mad she gets for expecting to do her job every once in awhile. Every time they have a celeb interview she whines and whines about having to stay late.
I'm not sure why i still listen. Sometimes I think its just to keep up with this board bc its fun. But I definitely hate listen most of the time now. Also she is train wreck and I cant turn away. I can't wait for the day she is held accountable. Sam does it a little bit but she dismisses him.
Why do you guys think Kenny would have talked her out of the interview training? Her interviews have always sucked. I just can't imagine him not wanting her to jump on it.

then that's pretty sad. what, did they have no phone service? did people have to ditch their phones upon entrance. I remember something about the bride not wanting anyone sending pix of venue while there. I had a verrrrrrrrrry close friend who I stuck by thru her mom's illness and passing. during one of the false alarms I actually got to the hospital before she did. fast forward a few years. one night she needed someone to give her a ride to pick up her son (30 miles away), I told her my father had just been taken (by ambulance) to the ER and that I had to get over there. her reply: call me later if you think you can do it. not call me and let me know how dad is doing. over the next 30 hrs, I got NOT ONE call from her to check on my dad. my dad ended up being okay (that time) but I cold cut our friendship that day. final closure a year later where I was able to explain how her seeming indifference affected me. she apologized profusely but we never spoke again, at my choosing. sorry for the run on. time for coffee
Goodness - don't blame you a bit. How insensitive.

And then she said that she's starting to see that this friend is actually very similar to the mean housewives. Or something like that... I know she has mentioned before that Nicole likes Kyle Richards who Taylor so obviously hates.
Yeah, she called her "inauthentic." It's sad, because they have so much history.

regarding not paying bills, I think that is common place when one person has/makes more money than another. I'm not saying it's good or healthy to the relationship, but i've seen it in within my friend's relationships who make wayyyyyyyy more.
How do the married ladies on this board pay bills/contribute money for joint bills? It's always such an interesting topics to see what others do!
When I was married we each paid a proportional amount. So if he made 60% of the total income, he paid 60% of the bills and I paid 40%. I paid for all my own clothes and extras, and he paid for his. I wouldn't ever expect anyone to pay for everything. It would make me feel like too much of a freeloader.

Also, and I kind of hate myself for saying this, but why no makeup?I agree. The pictures of her on her blog look nothing like her with all the makeup on. Why not put pictures of yourself how you really look. Also, can someone please tell me how she is fashion expert? I am being very serious. I live in the mid-west (St. Louis) and the girls here would blow Taylor away with their wardrobes. What is so special about her outfits? They are very basic pieces you could pick up anywhere. From things she's said, I believe her dad did get into his field to help others, and he has bartered treatment as well as donated. He seems like a great man. I don't think he got into for the money. My father-in-law, and most other doctors I know, got into the profession to help people. My FIL actually retired recently because he hated the electronic medical records system, and the time and personal interaction it took away from his patients. I actually think a lot of the money worship comes from Babette. Taylor always talks about how Babette's father was a general manager at Saks in a swanky area, and her family was not wealthy, but exposed to a lot of finer things because his job at Saks and their location. So my theory is Babette always aspired to more $$$ and passed those views onto Taylor. Also, Cohasset is a lot of old, big money, and hegdefund peeps, and the Strecker's are small potatoes there, so Taylor was always exposed to other people having a lot more money as well.
I've always thought Babette is the one pushing the social climbing and money focus too. Tay always says her mom stressed meeting a guy from Cornell when she was in college. I think she rushed into her marriage because she really just wanted to have a wedding and B's family was well off.
