In all fairness, Howard has a member of the WackPack named Wendy the Retard. I doubt Sirius is really worried about the offensiveness of the bit. They should be more worried about how not funny it was.
I don't know that it offended me per se, more that it was in very poor taste and a total dick move - like making fun of the stinky kid in elementary school. Obviously, anyone that watched MAM could clearly deduce that there was so much dysfunction in that family, but he can't help it, that environment is all he knew. I just thought that it was total asshole behavior on T's part. And you are correct, not funny in the least.

Yes Howard does it but Taylor is not Howard nor is she in comedy.
She's a normal girl who should stick to clothes and drama and pop culture (even that's a stretch seeing as how she never researches anything).
Kenny would never have done that bit. He would have told her no.
That's not her brand. That's not who she is and it's pathetic that her team
Gave her the ok to do that.

I also love Andy Cohen's snaps. Taylor is definitely trying to copy him and I wish she would just be herself on there. Telling us how funny and genius your snap characters are doesn't make them funny.
I only heard the second half of today's show but I liked the co-host a lot! She was so quick and witty and made me laugh a few times... something that rarely happens while listening anymore. I'll definitely go back and listen to the rest on demand later.

Agree 100% with all of this- Howard's schtick is being outrageous and offensive, it's what he built his brand on and what people expect from him. And there is NO WAY she could handle the kind of heat Howard gets - he can dish it and take it, she can't. She should be very careful if she thinks she wants to play by Howard's rules.

I like the show lately. The comedian yesterday was hilarious! GiveTay a chance she'll find her way.

Both yesterday and today's comediennes were hilarious. I love being introduced to new comics. I'll definitely be checking them out.
That toof talk has got to go. I'm tempted to write something on their fb page.

Today's show was way better than yesterdays. The dialects and toof talk though. Ugh. Thank goodness I listen On Demand and can fast forward.

I'm fine with the housewives week and comedian week, I think it gives a little direction. But all these damn doctors are killing me. The only Doctor I want is Wider. I'm over the dentist and I'm over the dermatologist. How many times can you tell people to brush your teeth and wear sunscreen? I FF with the Spanish lesson. Just like the housewives games it was brutal. Did they only show the games on periscope? If so, I think you are leaving a lot of listeners out of the loop. Like me. I don't have periscope. Which makes those segments fall flat and boring. Plus I thought this was a radio show that you listen to, not one you have to watch.

Totally agree Notcoolkid. Some things just don't translate to radio. It's an audio medium, for god's sake.

I follow Taylor on Periscope but didn't see her post anything about the games. They posted a short video of the game she played with Carole on the show's Instagram page but that was it.

What I don't understand is didn't Katie ban use of the "r" word on Wake Up? I remember there being some talk of such thing not too long ago. Maybe it coincided with Robert Verdi's Twitter war with a listener?
So you can't use the word retarded but the host can create a fake interview and poke fun at someone who is beyond any doubt mentally challenged?!

Agree about the Toof talk, holy shit. SUCKS!! Can't they tell? I only want Wider too. Who is running the show there? Taylor says she likes her new boss. But this show has a history and we all listen for a reason. I miss Kenny and miss them together.

Please do--I'm not a fan of toof talk either.

Taylor seemed surprised when Robert mentioned that he was challenged. Maybe I interpreted the exchange wrong, though.

I liked Michelle on today's show! I skipped the entire dentist segment because it's so boring and I HATE (in Robert Verdi screech) toof talk. But I really enjoyed the rest of the show!

OMG, today started off with radar online being in the first 10 words on the show, then a doctor (nope) and dentist (seriously, NO) with fucking toof talk, which Tay said she loves. Great - but we all hate it. And then the dialect coach? Dumb. Aside from all of those parts that I skipped, I did like the cohost today. She was funny.

Where are the "real" celebrities that they used to get? Is it too early in the morning? Was it a Cosmo thing?
How about a freaking author peddling a book or something? There has to be somebody interesting that could come on. Enough with Taylor's personal doctors looking for free press in exchange for services for Tay. It's low hanging fruit and lazy on the part of the "team".
Today, Andy Cohen had on an author that wrote a book about the first ladies. It could have been dull but he READ the book (the whole book), asked great questions and really brought out some interesting stories from someone that was an actual expert on a subject.

JM has been doing a serial killer segment that's great. Brings on different people that have wrote books or studied different killers.
I'm not sure what's happening in all these meetings, but I think they have zero to do with the show. Which I guess makes sense if she's wanting to move on to something else, it's just a slow & painful ending though.
Offline
JM had on an author yesterday that explained the 5 things to a longer life...it was so interesting I actually ordered his book! So good! The whole time I listened to the interview I was thinking Taylor should have guests like this on the show!!
Offline
Yes! I was reciting his 5 tips to a coworker today(only recalled 4, ha,ha). I think it was Deepak Chopra's brother.

Yes! It was his brother...I found it so interesting...
1. Exercise (whatever you can do per week)
2. Vitamin D3
3. Nuts
4. Meditation
5. Coffee daily

I liked this guy too. She let's her guest talk and asks good questions.

I agree completely with you guys about the toof talk. Tay seems to think it's fucking hysterical but it falls flat for me. And Dr. V might be smokin hot but all I hear through my speakers is The Nanny, so I'm picturing Fran Drescher throwing shit in Taylor's mouth. Whatever. I skipped that segment yesterday but really loved Michelle. She was really great and I will def be checking out her stand up.

I commented on the page asking her to stop doing it.

I also dont like toof talk. Or tay tay tunes either. It was fun the first couple of times but that was enough. Looking forward to her scope today! I really enjoy them. She should do more! Or more snaps, but not characters. Like snap while shes doing everyday things. Shopping, making dinner, hanging out, watching tv, whatever. Alot of celebs do it. Its fun!! And so easy and takes no time and a great way to stay connected to the fans with little effort.

I do as well, far more then the show! She is very charismatic on camera, the way she used to be on the radio. I wish she did them more then once a week!

Anyone else think they are not finding a permanent new cohost because the show already has an expiration date?

Yep! When someone asked about it on Periscope she had no answer. And not her I just can't say anything answer, she legit had no idea. That does not bode well for the show.

So as much as I don't like the show and the way it's been for a while, I'll still be really upset if it's gone. It's been in my life for so long that it's almost like losing a close friend or family. Kind of a love/hate relationship.
