She promotes the heck outta stuff she is involved in (look at all the posts with this new baby company), I'm wondering if it's moving ahead without her or not at all?

I've heard Taylor mention her best friend Nicole  several times recently. Maybe all the "are you still friends with Nicole?" Questions have gotten to her.

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

Has anyone else seen the news on gossip sites or the promo for the new season of Below Deck? Apparently Kate Chastain is now dating a girl, she's a professional soccer player or something from Spain. I don't believe she's been married before, but she has definitely always identified as straight/only dated men. Interesting timing as it makes Taylor's story not as unique anymore (which, by the way, I can't figure out why these articles/interviews with Taylor have even happened- people deciding later in life that they are something-other-than-straight is not new or novel. A man my mom went to high school with came out after 30 years of marriage and has children, its really not THAT uncommon.)

Also, Kate was recently arrested for a physical altercation of some sort with her girlfriend. Bravo shows are 100% centered around conflict, so a strong personality like Kate in a tumultuous relationship sounds like a much more enticing platform for a show than the two Taylors watching Netflix and eating zoodles together on an endless loop. Not to mention Kate has already proven herself on Bravo as being able to bring the dramz. Not sure how Taylor's quest to remove negativity and conflict from her life really fits into her reality show dreams.

I might be from the Sunshine State, but I can still be a little shady.🌴

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

I think Kate and the girlfriend have broken up since the show filmed. I agree, it's not like she's the first person to realize later in life that they're not straight (I have a coworker who was married for almost 30 years, a bunch of kids, and now he's married to a man).

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

I wonder if the revolving hosts are in hopes of press for the show? That one will have a connection with her or do/say something that would go viral and start getting her noticed more? Lots of articles coming out, but none getting any traction. Unless you're actually looking for them, you wouldn't see anything. Hoping something will go viral?

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

I thought the show centered more around Taylor and Nicole's friendship? Not just Taylor, right? Do you remember her saying a long time ago that one of her friends was talking about how difficult Taylor's divorce was on them? I always thought that was Nicole, in a confessional for the show. It certainly seems like there was a rift with them for quite awhile as Taylor never talked about her. Now, all of the sudden, she's her best friend again? Seems like there was drama but she's not talking about it because it will be featured on the show.

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

It looks like they have been filming since Tay was married to Brett in that promo video.

Yes, the filming started while Tay was still married to Brett. Brett would not sign release to appear on the show. I truly believe that his refusal to not appear on camera was one of the major E-fam meddlings of which Tay could not overcome.

If they begin filming again and/or if someone picks up the show I wonder if TD will sign the release. If not, how will that make Taylor feel? #asktay

How do you know he refused to sign the release?

Tay said so, during a show around the time the Radio in the City video was released.

I'll get sucked into watching it if it does happen...but moreso because I have stopped listening and watch a lot of sh!tty reality shows, so...it may fit right in!

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

According to Tay's periscope yesterday, RITC has been picked up by a production company; she and Nicole are meeting with producers this week (or very soon) to discuss filming. I think she said the show  hasn't been picked up by a  network yet but I can't remember.

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

What I learned on the last Periscope:
1. Filming has NOT started. They got a call from a production company and will be meeting with them next week (?) with Nicole and their people to discuss when to start filming (Taylor specifically said, "I need to lose 30# by then!).
2. They discussed this back when she was married and Brett was not on board. She thinks Matt (Nicole's husband) could have convinced him to do it in the end (Matt's all in) but Brett wanted nothing to do with it then.
3. It was hard to tell if T2 will/will not be on (if it happens) because she talked about how beautiful she is but how shy and private. She said she would be, but also said she was used to being behind the cameras. So I heard yes and no.
4. It's still a long ways off.

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

I get that these things take a while...but tv is "trendy" and things change so fast (Taylor was married, Nicole had just had a baby (?), Kenny left), it just seems like if they wait much longer the moment all have passed. I obviously don't know how they plan to edit the show, but living a vapid life goes from funny and cute to sad once you hit a certain age- just seems like there's an expiration date for being able to pull off the premise of this show.

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

I totally agree, Durst Burp.  Don't quote me on it, but I think Nicole is due in October with the new baby.  Getting ready to give birth and taking care of a toddler & newborn isn't exactly riveting TV.  Throw in Taylor who doesn't do much but take naps and go to meetings, and a show about them sounds completely boring.  (That said -- I DO like Nicole from what I know of her and really admire her hustle.)

I'm also confused about what the conflict element will be- I would think Taylor wouldn't want to fight with Nicole, so unless someone else that we don't know about will be on the show I'm not sure how well it will do. For me this show falls into the same bucket with Gallery Girls/Princesses of Long Island, those shows did have the requisite conflict but they just didn't have staying power.

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

I can't imagine what the conflict would be either.  It would be a different story if she joined an ensemble cast like RHONY or Vanderpump, but if Nicole & Taylor are the two main stars.... ?

Unless I'm completely missing something and TD and Matt are majorly dramatic and entertaining.

OMG, Princesses of Long Island!  Totally forgot about THAT train wreck!  Would love to know what those girls are up to!

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

Watching Below Deck from last night and Kate's girlfriend story is almost identical to Taylor's. Never been attracted to a girl, was friends with her for awhile, decided to kiss her one night and fell in love with the person, not the gender, etc. Taylor and Kate are even the same age.

Eh...this is the best time for her to get her show. Since leaving your husband for your best girl friend seems on trend it's an easier sell for the show.

Re: Reality Show - Radio in the City

As I was writing a post about Taylor taking pictures with all of her "celebrity' cohosts, I had another thought. Do you think she is filming Radio in the City right now??? Why else would she not capitalize and tweet, facebook, snapchat, periscope, instagram, etc. Maybe Radio in the City took a new turn or morphed into something else. We are not hearing the same stories as much and she is pulling new material. Just a thought...
