Ugh that guy in the first hour does NOT have a voice for radio. I couldn't even understand most of what he said he sounds so mumble-y.

The lawyer? I was trying to figure out what accent it was, then thought maybe a lisp? He was interesting, but hard to understand for sure!

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

Haven't made it into the third hour yet but I really am liking the show today! (except for that lawyer...) I liked the kid talk too but maybe it's because I have kids and as much as I love them, there are some days I want to run away from them. I think Rob would be a really good co-host. He did really well with the callers and kept things moving. He also did a great job of explaining people (like Robert) to people who may not listen everyday or people who are new listeners.

Good question- I guess I've never really given that any thought either. The E family at least appears to be very philanthropic, and we know Taylor isn't exactly charitable. Maybe some of these "family events" Taylor says they demanded she attend were charity events she didn't want to go to?

I think it was a NY accent but he had a cold...so his nose was kind of plugged and it made it harder to understand him (plus he mumbled too at times).

On another note, I thought Naughty Rob did a great job acting more co-hosty (new word!) too. I find myself really hoping he will stay/come back more frequently as he has a lot of the insight on the pop culture and celebrity side of the world.

Right? Three days ago she didn't know who she was gonna vote for. If she had a guest on who was for Trump, she would be for him.

I'm glad they have John Alter on, love their family show!

I would love to hear her thoughts on that! I remember one gig she talked about hosting for Jewish women, I think it was a sex discussion or something, it could be that she thought they were pushing her too hard to use her position to do extracurricular work. Maybe her insecurities about her body and her fame and fitting in with wealthy people got the best of her?

Me too- but as fame hungry as she is, I would think (hope) she would have enough sense/foresight to realize that putting herself out there via those charity events with the Jewish organization could only help her career. One of our resident super-sleuths on this board figured out that Jules from RHONY is part of the same organization and is at least an acquaintance of the E sisters- if she had gotten more involved with the organization, maybe she could have used that angle to get on RHONY!

Also, Taylor's story about how much one of the E sisters freaked out about her Christmas tree/Chanukah post makes me wonder if the E family felt like she didn't respect their religion/make an effort to compromise. We all know Taylor doesn't like to compromise and really hangs on to the way she was raised so it's plausible she was difficult around the holidays (I'm pretty sure she's even admitted to them spending holidays apart), and add to that her unwillingness to support their Jewish charity and I can totally see that creating a family rift.

Matts is the Trump supporter friend she's referring to this morning, with the Trump bumper sticker.  I'll keep my mouth shut.

I took it differently. Taylor is Catholic, not Jewish. Why can't she post a Christmas tree? Shouldn't the E family also be respectful of HER religion? Freaking out over an IG post with a Christmas tree is a little controlling. The story of the E sister freaking out over Taylor and Brett eating dinner at the Four Seasons on an Tuesday night says it all to me.

Re: Today's Show! (not actually *today*)

I agree. I think the E's really expected her to convert and when she didn't, it caused a major rift. Remember how excited Brett was about the tree? I bet that didn't sit well with the E's. I remember her talking about doing the Jewish holidays with the E's. I think it was just the last year they were married (2014) that they spent Thanksgiving apart. And I also get not wanting to attend charity functions all the time. And when you're being told what charity you have to support, I would think that would be off putting as well.

Oh I totally agree- she should be able to post the tree/they should respect her religion too. I guess what I meant is maybe the explosion over the Christmas tree thing was only a small part of a bigger conflict over religion in the family. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle - both sides (obviously) weren't doing a great job at compromise. But as Taylor has said she isn't very involved in the church and it seems like the extent to which she practices Catholicism only includes guilty sex and Christmas, I think there were more opportunities for the E's to feel slighted because they are much more active with their religion.

I can see how the Jewish religion could feel burdensome to an outsider, there can be a lot of demands. I wonder if they tried to have Shabbat dinner every Friday and expected T&B to attend?

if I recall correctly, right after the divorce she was periscoping and talked about how even if it was one of THEIR best friends they would wind up disliking her, and she was like wait he did date one of their friends.

I more see it as they are a very protective family and will be friendly until they realize you may be more permanent, then push you away. Which is really sad for Brett.

I'm a day behind on the show- did they interview an author today? Check out the IG post with the Barbie Tay and the show are tagged in. Another one that seems somehow passive aggressive.

I really wish they'd post who the co-host of the day is on their FB page. I don't understand why they have zero social media presence. Making a quick post shouldn't be more than "the team" can handle.

That and the guests would make so much sense. If they tagged them, their fans would see and might tune in to listen. Don't they want more listeners? Plus, I miss who the guest is sometimes. I spend half the interview figuring out who it is.

I wonder if the show is dunzo? I think they renew the show every October  (at least that's how Patrick explained it back in the day) and maybe they already know WUWT is done and that's why no new permanent replacement for Kenny and zero social media...
